This weekend visited Isca’s uncle John Sanders at his farm in upstate NY. After walking through his converted barn studio, and seeing his incredible steel, copper and bronze sculptures, we walked back to the house through the lawn just past the empty grain silos. Our two year old son Hudson asked if he could go inside. They have been empty for years, other than some birds nests, but none of us had ever been inside. As soon as we went inside and started talking we were stunned by the amount of echo. Our good friend Hannah Cohen made the trip with us. After Lunch Hannah and I went back to the silo and sang I blame Baltimore a cappella. The reverb and echo of the silo are so beautiful and if you listen closely you can hear the sound of birds singing softly in the background.

Please check out John’s work. Here is a link to his website. He makes truly incredible work. http://www.JohnSandersArt.com/
