Tonight I went to my friend Lia Ices record release party at Joe’s Pub. Her record “Grown Unknown” came out last week but tonight was the celebration. The record is a thing of beauty and she played it from start to finish with a band that at times included seven members (a three piece string section on a number of songs). Her voice was the most powerful instrument throughout. On a freezing cold night covered in ice Lia lived up to her name and actually out performed the elements. Lia Ices is a force of nature!
