This is a first attempt at giving one of my animations more dynamic movement. There is a close up of Isca and it moves out eventually showing the creation of the boat she is standing next to. I am hoping to include more movement in the future.

This animation shows the construction of one of my new paintings. It will be featured in my show this month at Baldwin Gallery in Aspen Colorado opening over Thanksgiving weekend. There are at least 837 pieces of paper used to make this image. This painting is titled Isca and the Boys at the Stone Steps.

Isca and I have been very busy lately. Isca has two shows up this month. One at Haunch of Venison in New York and one at Wetterling Gallery in Stockholm. I am also going to have a show at Wetterling Gallery at their space in Gothenburg. The show opens next week. This painting of Isca in her studio is featured in my show. You can see her incredible new paintings on her website. iscags.com/

Josh Abelow is an old friend of mine and a really great painter. He has been away from New York for a few years and recently returned.  He is unrelenting in his pursuit to make art and to make it great. He just had a show of his work at James Fuentes Gallery that was beautiful and funny (and a little self obsessed) just like Josh.

I tried this animation at a different frame per second. I think its looks pretty cool at this speed. This is a picture of my friend David Donahue and me at our friend Anna Schacte’s wedding in South Carolina a few years ago. It was nice to make a piece that is set in srping during this crazy snowy winter. I heard from another friend yesterday that Cadbury Mini Eggs are back in stores. I...

Caroline and Jorge are truly amazing people and musicians. I was lucky enough to work with them during the recording of my record Alibi Coast. It is amazing how much I learned from Jorge about music and production. He was made to make music and Caroline is his perfect match. Both are so natural as performers and have an incredible depth of understanding about how to make incredible music. I am so...

Hisham Bharoocha This is another animation in a series of portraits of musicians that I am freinds with. I have known Hisham for many years. We met in college and played in Black DIce together for a few years. He has since moved on and is now making music as Soft Circle. He is also an incredible artist and photographer. You can check out some of his work at the link below. ...

I just finished another of my collage portraits. This one is of Chris Keating. Chris is the singer of the band Yeasayer. I have known him since he was a little kid. We grew up in the same neighborhood in Baltimore MD and we were on the local swim team together. Not in the same age group though. Anyway, Yeasayers new album Odd Blood is really amazing! You can check out some of there songs on...

Description of How the Clouds were made
This is all way over my head. I thought it would be kind of funny to put up. This is Ben’s description of how he made the clouds in CG. 1. Sculpt the basic cloud shape 2. Apply a particle system with 10000 particles, turn off Gravity and Normal Emission, change start and end to frame 1 3. Create a new “Clouds” Texture (Depth 3, Noise: Hard, Size varies with size of the mesh, I...
